If the ticket is not confirmed and in Waitlist status full amount will be refunded excluding the transaction charges levid by irctc and the respective banks involved.
If the ticket is cancelled after the ticket is confirmed, then the charges differ.
If the ticket is cancelled before 24 hours then a cancellation fees of 20 to 70 rs is applicable per person on the cancelled ticket
If cancelled within less than 24 hours of journey, the 25% of the ticket fare will be deducted.
If cancelled 4 hours before then 50% charges will be deducted If cancelled within 3 hours after the train has left, 50% charge will be deducted.
